Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Hunter Risley!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ben Townsley!
The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Risley shoots for a takedown but Townsley saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Townsley has a takedown stuffed.

Risley shoots in and bounces Townsley off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Risley trying to control but Townsley is working from the bottom.

Risley stands and steps away. Townsley gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Risley is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Townsley shoots in for a takedown but Risley shows good takedown defense.

Townsley scores with a one two! Risley had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

Risley throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Townsley was covering up waiting for the punch and Risley finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Risley is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Townsley is trying to hold Risley in close to prevent damage but Risley has managed to pass into half guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Hunter Risley wasn't doing enough on the ground.

Townsley displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Risley.

Risley shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Risley was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
You can see the frustration on Townsley's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Townsley leaves Risley with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Risley cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Risley looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Risley avoids the attempt from Townsley to control.

Risley tries to control but Townsley wriggling away.
Risley is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Townsley is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Risley can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Townsley is looking to escape.

Risley is landing with some decent strikes but Townsley is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
