The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Buhardazada tries to keep at a distance but Sands has taken the fight into the clinch.

Sands has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Buhardazada regains guard immediately.
Sands will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Buhardazada is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Sands is aware though and is defending well.
Buhardazada wants to control the position but Sands says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.

Sands is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Buhardazada doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Sands.

Buhardazada is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Sands has his hands clasped together but Buhardazada extends an breaks Sands's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Buhardazada.
