Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Drizzt Do Urden!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Charlie MacMinn!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Jonathan Paton and Dean Styles.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

MacMinn rushes Do Urden and presses him up against the cage.
Do Urden wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but MacMinn has him pressed against the cage.
MacMinn lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
MacMinn is trying to push Do Urden away but Do Urden has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
MacMinn looking for a takedown.
MacMinn jumps guard but Do Urden turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Do Urden wants to break the clinch but can't.
Do Urden is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. MacMinn is defending well for now.
MacMinn prevents Do Urden from breaking the clinch.
Do Urden misses with an elbow strike.
MacMinn drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Do Urden gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Drizzt Do Urden has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Charlie MacMinn.

MacMinn manages to pull guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Do Urden wants to control from the top but MacMinn keeps moving.
Do Urden looking to pass the guard.
MacMinn really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Do Urden. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Do Urden trying to control the position from guard on top but MacMinn is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
MacMinn managing to control the position.
Do Urden wants to pass the guard but MacMinn is keeping the position.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Do Urden lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.

MacMinn scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
The ground and pound from MacMinn seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Do Urden is looking for a sweep.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Do Urden is not content to let MacMinn control the position.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Do Urden sneaks back into half guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Do Urden tries to get to full guard but MacMinn has control of the leg.
Do Urden manages to get to full guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Do Urden had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. MacMinn defends it easily.
MacMinn slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
MacMinn trying to control the position from guard on top but Do Urden is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Do Urden looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
MacMinn sitting in guard here, content to control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Do Urden keeping moving, preventing MacMinn from controlling successfully.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Charlie MacMinn.
MacMinn takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
MacMinn on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Do Urden throws a half hearted mid kick.
Do Urden throws a front kick that sends MacMinn stumbling back into the cage.
Drizzt Do Urden is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Do Urden misses with a body kick.
MacMinn blocks the body kick.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Do Urden lands a nice looking body kick.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

MacMinn gets the takedown into side control.
Do Urden tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but MacMinn wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Drizzt Do Urden will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Do Urden slaps away a takedown attempt from MacMinn, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Do Urden turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
MacMinn throws a head kick that misses
and Do Urden counters with a nice body kick.
Good leg kick by Do Urden there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
MacMinn attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
MacMinn looks to land a combination but Do Urden avoids it well.
MacMinn moves out of range of the body kick.
Do Urden feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to MacMinn's calf.
Do Urden leaves MacMinn with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
MacMinn is breathing heavily.
Do Urden feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to MacMinn's calf.
Do Urden throws a front kick that sends MacMinn stumbling back into the cage.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Do Urden connects with a solid leg kick.
That kick from Do Urden tenderised MacMinn's leg. MacMinn is trying to keep his angry face on.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Do Urden enables MacMinn to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Do Urden manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Do Urden is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and MacMinn defends well.
Do Urden keeping moving, preventing MacMinn from controlling successfully.
Do Urden is trying to control the position but MacMinn postures up.
Do Urden wants to sweep here but MacMinn controlling him for the moment.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

MacMinn has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Do Urden to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! MacMinn is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Do Urden pulls down on the head and he's put MacMinn to sleep! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:30 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Drizzt Do Urden!
