The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Garcia misses with a low kick as amber jumps back.
amber closes the distance and clinches up with Garcia, looking for a takedown. amber pushes Garcia against the cage but Garcia circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Garcia thuds his right hand into amber's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Garcia throws out a leg kick but amber moves out of range and Garcia only half commits.

Garcia forces amber back against the cage and clinches.
A nice right hand lands inside from Garcia.
amber fails to pull guard.
amber throws an elbow but it's blocked.

Garcia wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but amber has him pressed against the cage.
amber has had enough of the clinch but Garcia keeps him there for the moment.
Garcia tries to break the clinch but amber is controlling the position.

amber changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Garcia fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Marcello Garcia has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of mr amber.

Garcia drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Garcia has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Garcia is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but amber is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Garcia is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. amber knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Garcia thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

amber tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Garcia wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Garcia has worked his way into a potential kimura here. amber is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Garcia yanks on the arm and amber is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Garcia.
