The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Doe tries to clinch but Fitsmichael is having none of it.
Doe throws a head kick but Fitsmichael moves out of range.
Doe looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Doe looks for the body kick but Fitsmichael saw that one coming.

Doe drives through with a takedown into guard.
Doe throws a big elbow that misses.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Doe is nestled in close to Fitsmichael, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Doe is trying to get an arm triangle but Fitsmichael is defending well.

Doe is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Fitsmichael looks calm but he's in trouble here. Doe gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Fitsmichael is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Doe lets go of the hold and Fitsmichael can pop his arm back in it's socket.
