Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Terrell Suggs!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Homer J Pimpson!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Summer Carpenter and Steve Erwin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Suggs tries to clinch there but Pimpson circles away.
A head kick misses from Pimpson.
Pimpson tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Suggs throws a right and a left that both miss.
Pimpson misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Suggs fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Pimpson throws a head kick but Suggs moves out of range.
Suggs looks for a takedown but Pimpson sprawls well.
Horrible takedown by Suggs or perhaps it was just good defense by Pimpson which made him look bad.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Pimpson lands with a kick to the temple. Suggs shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

Pimpson gets the takedown into side control.

Pimpson looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Pimpson is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Suggs is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Pimpson tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Pimpson tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Pimpson has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
You can see the frustration on Suggs's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Suggs is looking to regain half guard here but Pimpson keeps moving and retains side control.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Pimpson working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Suggs is looking for a sweep.

Suggs has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Pimpson is working away from the top position though.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Suggs wants to improve his position but Pimpson is controlling well.

Suggs has his takedown stuffed

and Pimpson counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Suggs makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Suggs.
Suggs looking for a sweep. Not yet Suggs, not yet.
Suggs pulls Pimpson in close to his closed guard and prevents Pimpson from doing any damage or advancing position.
Suggs wants to get back to his feet but Pimpson is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Suggs is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Pimpson drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Pimpson jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.

so Pimpson counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Pimpson drops back looking for a leg! Suggs is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Suggs manages to kick Pimpson off! Pimpson jumps back into Suggs's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Suggs wants to sweep here but Pimpson controlling him for the moment.

Pimpson has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Suggs can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Suggs stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Pimpson swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Suggs. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

Pimpson sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Suggs's guard.
Suggs makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Suggs.
Suggs is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Suggs is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Suggs is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!

Suggs is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Pimpson has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Pimpson!

Pimpson is looking for a kimura but Suggs is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Pimpson to get the leverage.
Suggs wants to control but Pimpson is keeping busy.
Pimpson is nestled in close to Suggs, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Suggs is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Pimpson is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Suggs doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Pimpson.
Pimpson thows a huge punch but Suggs dodges it nicely.

Pimpson looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Homer J Pimpson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Pimpson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
