The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ortiz shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Populi throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Ortiz's waist but Ortiz gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Populi off to one side.
Populi looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Ortiz is fending him off so far but Populi persists. Nope, Ortiz circles away and we're back to standing.
Populi keeps the fight on the outside.

Ortiz is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Populi frees his head nicely. Oh but Ortiz has switched to an armbar! Populi is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
