PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Einar Haugen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Benjamin The Bull (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Haugen might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Blood Rave !. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Einar Haugen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Benjamin The Bull!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Aafke Stam and Patrick Alders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Haugen stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Haugen wants it to stay on the feet.
The Bull takes a swing at Haugen's ribcage but misses.
Einar Haugen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
No joy there for Haugen, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
The Bull shoots for a double leg takedown but Haugen sprawls well. He's pushed The Bull's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Haugen fails with a takedown attempt.
Haugen misses with a series of wild punches.

Haugen drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The Bull manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
The Bull wants to control but Haugen is keeping busy.
The Bull is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Haugen is staying active.

The Bull looking for submissions off his back.
Haugen is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for The Bull!
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if The Bull can do anything to dispel that myth.
Haugen tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
The Bull tries to hold on but Haugen postures up.
The Bull wants to get back to his feet.
The Bull is in all sorts of trouble here.

Haugen trying to control but he's not successful this time.
The Bull is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Haugen can't control as he wanted to and The Bull manages to get the fight back to his half guard.
The Bull wants to control but Haugen is keeping busy.
The Bull missing with punches from the bottom.
Haugen wants to stand up but The Bull is controlling the position.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
The Bull trying to control here.
The Bull is pressing down on Haugen's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
The Bull is trying to control the position from the bottom.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The Bull wants to sweep but no luck.

Haugen gets to his feet - The Bull follows without any prompting.
The Bull shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Einar Haugen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Benjamin The Bull.
The Bull shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Haugen pinned against the cage. Haugen gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Haugen throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
A slow jab from The Bull misses its intended target.
The Bull avoids the head kick by Haugen.
The Bull tries to clinch there but Haugen circles away.
Haugen doesn't manage to clinch there - The Bull circles away.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Haugen misses with a jab, cross combination.
The Bull shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Haugen closes the distance and clinches.
The Bull misses with a shot to the kidneys.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Einar Haugen will probably get the nod.
That's time! Haugen's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.



Haugen moves into the clinch.

Haugen's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
The Bull changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Haugen tries to avoid it but The Bull manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Haugen to the ground. Haugen escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
The Bull swats away the attempt to clinch by Haugen.
Haugen misses with a body shot.

The Bull shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Haugen manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

The Bull looking to improve position, pressing down on Haugen's thigh with his hand. Haugen seems to be working to lock up a guilotine though... is The Bull paying attention? Apparently not! He's locked it up tight! The Bull's face has turned purple! Will he tap? Will he! YES! He's tapped! Haugen picked his opening and made it count! Great finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:49 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Einar Haugen!
