The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Velez throws a series of punches but Williams moves out of range.
Velez blocks a head kick by Williams.
Williams is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Velez.
Williams moves into range and connects with a jab.
Williams is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Velez.
Velez missing with a left hand there. Williams was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Williams steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Velez.
Velez lands a really nice looking cross but Williams seems unphased.
Velez throws a hook but Williams blocks it.
Velez lands with an overhand left.
The fighters circling - Williams throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Velez looks to land a right hand but Williams moved out of range.
Williams throws a shot from downtown. Velez moves away and avoids it.
Williams throws a right hand that Velez ducks under and follows up with a left that Velez also avoids with ease.
Velez avoids the body shot from Williams.
Williams swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Velez counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Williams throws a right and a left that both miss.
Velez lands a nice shot that snaps Williams's head back.

Williams misses with a jab, cross combination.
Velez blocks a head kick by Williams.
Velez throws a front kick that sends Williams stumbling back into the cage.

No joy there for Williams, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Velez moves out of range of the body kick from Williams.
Velez throws a one two combo.
Oh Williams is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Williams shoots for a takedown but Velez saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Velez lands with an uppercut that bounces Williams off the cage and back into rage.
Velez connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Williams tumbling to the canvas! Velez pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Williams was done - good stoppage!
