Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Devin Carrier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Deair Dink (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Devin Carrier!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Deair Dink!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, George Francis and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dink moves in looking to clinch but Carrier pushes him off.
Dink fails to land the takedown.

Carrier clinches up against the cage.

Carrier has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Dink clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Carrier lands strikes to the head.
Dink covering up well under a barage of strikes.
Carrier avoiding Dink 's attempts to control his hands.

Carrier is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.

Carrier has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Dink has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
Dink tries to break free.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Carrier missing with strikes from the back.
Dink manages to reverse the position and now he's in Carrier's guard. Nice work there by Dink.

Carrier had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Dink defends it easily.
Carrier on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Carrier tries to get out of the position.

Carrier throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Dink pushes down on Carrier's leg and manages to get into half guard.

Dink is working for a submission of some sort.
Dink passes to full mount!
Dink trying to control but Carrier is having none of it.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Dink throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.
Dink wants to control the pace but Carrier is squirming around nicely.

Dink stands up from mount. Strange move.
The fighters circle momentarily. Carrier darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Carrier fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Dink looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Dink bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Carrier changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Carrier misses with a leg kick.
Dink shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Carrier pinned against the cage. Carrier gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Dink wants to clinch.
Carrier fails with an attempt to clinch.

Dink bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Carrier tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Dink wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Dink wants to stand but Carrier is controlling his arm.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Dink advances to full mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Deair Dink will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Dink fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Dink closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Carrier is trying to get back to full guard.
Dink is looking to advance position but Carrier won't allow it.
Carrier knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Dink on the ground.
Dink trying to control from Carrier's half guard. Carrier has other ideas though and has regained full guard.

Carrier has an active guard here but Dink has managed to pass into half guard.

Dink is looking for a kimura here.

Carrier gets back to full guard.

Dink postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Dink trying to control but Carrier is working from the bottom.
Dink sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Carrier's guard.
Carrier is looking to get back to full guard here but Dink has managed to pass to side control instead.

Dink wants to control but Carrier is keeping him busy.
Carrier is looking for a sweep.
Dink wants to stand but Carrier is controlling his arm.
Dink trying to control the position but Carrier is working away.

Dink looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

Dink trying to control the action but Carrier is working from the bottom.
Carrier tries to buck Dink off but Dink is having none of it.
Dink wants to stand but Carrier is controlling his arm.

Deair Dink showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Carrier throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Carrier keeps the fight on the outside.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Dink.
Carrier tries to close the distance and clinch but Dink swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Dink misses with a takedown attempt
and Carrier counters with a nice uppercut.

and Carrier counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Dink thinking.
Devin Carrier has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Deair Dink.
Carrier tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Dink manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Carrier pulls out of a head kick attempt.

and Carrier counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Dink tries to clinch up but Carrier circles away and keeps his distance.

Dink takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Carrier wants to clinch.

Carrier pulls guard.
Carrier looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Dink avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Dink throwing strikes from guard but Carrier blocks nicely.

Dink would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Dink postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Carrier is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Carrier is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Carrier escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Dink gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Dink wants to stand but Carrier is controlling his posture from full guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Carrier escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Dink gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Carrier keeping moving, preventing Dink from controlling successfully.
Dink trying to stand up but can't free himself from Carrier's guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Devin Carrier.
I think Dink has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
