Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Fedor Belfort (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dion Devlin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Belfort's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Symphony No. 9 by Antonin Dvorak. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Dion Devlin enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Fedor Belfort!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Dion Devlin!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Richard Clark and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Belfort avoids the head kick by Devlin.

Devlin shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Belfort is trying to defend but Devlin finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Devlin drops an elbow to the side of Belfort's head.
Belfort is refusing to be controlled, as Devlin sits in half guard.
Devlin has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Devlin thows a huge punch but Belfort dodges it nicely.
Belfort is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Devlin trying to mount his opponent but Belfort defends it.
Belfort wants to get back to full guard.
Belfort wants to control but Devlin is keeping busy.
Devlin has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Devlin dominating with strikes here.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Belfort can't escape the position.
Belfort on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Belfort tries to get out of the position.
Devlin has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Belfort's face.
Devlin pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Belfort wants to hold on but Devlin pushes him away.
Devlin looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.


Belfort is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Devlin is in full mount looking to finish with strikes. He lands a big shot, followed by another and Belfort goes limp! The ref jumps in to end the fight - a big win for Devlin!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Dion Devlin!
Dion Devlin decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
