The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ross defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Lirving.
Ross thuds his right hand into Lirving's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Lirving shoots for a takedown but Ross saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Ross shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Lirving eats them both and turns towards Ross to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Ross prevents Lirving from breaking the clinch.
Lirving jumps guard but Ross stands there with Lirving around his waist. Lirving gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kyrie Lirving. That's going to take a lot out of him.
