The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Evans misses with the combination.
Evans looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Evans shoots for a double leg takedown but Picket sprawls well. He's pushed Evans's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Picket clinches up against the cage.
Picket tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Picket gets control of Evans's arms and successfully pulls guard. Picket will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Evans accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Picket is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Evans frees his head nicely. Oh but Picket has switched to an armbar! Evans is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
