Sheehan Jr comes to the cage accompanied by Keep Spinning. Valerio Bertoto will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bertoto looks for a takedown but Sheehan Jr sprawls well.

Bertoto drops back, looking for a kneebar! Sheehan Jr looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Sheehan Jr looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Sheehan Jr!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bertoto loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Bertoto drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Sheehan Jr manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Bertoto has Sheehan Jr in his guard.

Sheehan Jr stands up and waves to Bertoto to follow him.

Bertoto shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Sheehan Jr connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Sheehan Jr swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Sheehan Jr leaves Bertoto with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Sheehan Jr lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.

Bertoto is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Bertoto shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Bertoto wants to free his trapped foot but Sheehan Jr is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That was a close round but I would say that Justus Sheehan Jr will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Bertoto has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Sheehan Jr finds it's way round the side to connect with Bertoto's head.

Bertoto takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Sheehan Jr lands a big uppercut and this one is all over! His foe lies motionless on the canvas - a massive one punch knockout!
