Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Randy Turner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Santiago Martinez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Martinez has chosen Major Lazer - Pon De Floor as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Randy Turner!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Santiago Martinez!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Robert Twigg and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Turner lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Turner connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Good leg kick by Turner there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Turner's corner calls for a 1-2. Turner obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.


It looks like Santiago Martinez has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Turner looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Turner throws a front kick that sends Martinez stumbling back into the cage.
A nice leg kick lands there from Turner.
Turner fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Martinez looks winded!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Turner looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
A good leg kick by Turner.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Turner lands with a nice body kick.
Martinez on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Randy Turner is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Turner feints and then cracks Martinez's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Martinez down.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Turner tries a head kick but it misses.
Turner fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Martinez.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Turner throws a quick inside leg kick.
Turner throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Turner throws a push kick but Martinez slaps the foot to one side.
Turner tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Turner walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Martinez checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Randy Turner seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Turner throws a half hearted mid kick.
Martinez gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Turner.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Turner throws a right hand that Martinez ducks under and follows up with a left that Martinez also avoids with ease.
A head kick by Turner misses
and Martinez counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Turner scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Turner throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Turner feints and then cracks Martinez's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Martinez down.

Martinez is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Martinez's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Turner lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Turner fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Martinez is out of range.
Turner explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Turner lands a jab to Martinez's midsection.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Randy Turner dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Santiago Martinez's cut.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Martinez crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Turner - the referee stops the clock and Martinez gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Turner. Martinez manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Turner lands a big head kick that sends Martinez tumbling to the mat! Turner takes a step backwards and waves Martinez back to his feet - he wants the finish!


Martinez is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Turner misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Turner throws a head kick that misses
and Martinez counters with a big head kick but Turner shrugs it off.
Turner does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Martinez checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Some bone on bone action there as Martinez checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

Turner swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Santiago Martinez is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Turner lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Turner.
Randy Turner is winning the standup battle so far.
Turner throws the kick towards the body but Martinez avoids it.
Turner throws a sloppy head kick and Martinez moves out of range easily.
Turner lands a head shot.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Turner lands a big head kick that sends Martinez tumbling to the mat! Turner takes a step backwards and waves Martinez back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Martinez is still on wobbly legs! Can Turner finish him?
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Turner ducks down into range and throws a picture perfect right hook that connects with Martinez's jaw. Martinez's eyes stare off into space as he falls to the mat, out cold! Turner does the decent thing and steps back, rather than landing any shots to his unconscious opponent.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:15 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Randy Turner!
