Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Filo Bedo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryan Sonnen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Bedo might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Every Which Way But Loose. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
15 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Filo Bedo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

17 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ryan Sonnen!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Gwen Towbar and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Bedo's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Sonnen just misses with a punch to the body.
Sonnen takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Sonnen shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Bedo sprawls well. Bedo wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Sonnen gets slowly back to his feet.
Sonnen tries to clinch but Bedo is having none of it.
Bedo fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Sonnen manages to avoid it.
Sonnen jabs at Bedo's body.
Bedo misses with a wild body shot.
Bedo falls off balance throwing a combination
and Sonnen makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Bedo forces Sonnen back against the cage and clinches.
Bedo works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.

Sonnen prevents a body shot from Bedo.

Nice body punch from Sonnen.
Bedo breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Sonnen feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Bedos jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Bedo wants to clinch up but Sonnen keeps it at a distance.
Filo Bedo is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Sonnen pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Bedo lands with a kick to the ribs.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Bedo throws a low kick but Sonnen moves out of range easily.
Bedo scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Bedo takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Bedo moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Bedo enables Sonnen to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Bedo manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Bedo is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Sonnen is controlling him.
Sonnen postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Sonnen loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Sonnen won't allow Bedo to get back to his feet.
Sonnen is looking to work some ground and pound but Bedo has wrist control.
Bedo wants to sweep here but Sonnen controlling him for the moment.

Sonnen wants to stand and escape but instead Bedo has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Sonnen is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Filo Bedo just wasn't active enough.
Sonnen throws a looping overhand right but Bedo ducks down to avoid it.
Sonnen fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Bedo avoids it really well and circles away.
Bedo throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Sonnen tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Bedo paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Sonnen blocks a head kick by Bedo.
Bedo connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Sonnen looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

A close round but Ryan Sonnen will probably get the nod.

Bedo uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Sonnen.
Bedo tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Sonnen paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Bedo lands a big head kick that sends Sonnen tumbling to the mat! Bedo takes a step backwards and waves Sonnen back to his feet - he wants the finish!

It looks like Ryan Sonnen has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Bedo tries to clinch there but Sonnen circles away.
Sonnen is still on wobbly legs! Can Bedo finish him?
Sonnen swings for the body but Bedo moves out of range.
Bedo throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Sonnen.

Sonnen seems to have recovered his senses.

Bedo throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Sonnen thows a left - swing and a miss!
Sonnen swings for the body but Bedo moves out of range.
Bedo lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Sonnen at a distance.
Bedo drops his hands momentarily and Sonnen takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Sonnen looks to score with a jab to the body but Bedo is just out of range.
Filo Bedo is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Sonnen scores with the left hand. Bedo knows he should have avoided that one.
Bedo feints and then cracks Sonnen's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Sonnen down.
Bedo keeps the fight on the outside.
The fighters circling - Sonnen throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Bedo throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Sonnen sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Sonnen throws a shot from downtown. Bedo moves away and avoids it.
Sonnen throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Bedo throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Sonnen.

Sonnen checks the leg kick nicely there.
Bedo scores with a head kick. Sonnen tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Sonnen connects with a good right hand that stumbles Bedo. Bedo circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Bedo misses the shot to the body.
Sonnen shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
A swing and a miss from Sonnen.
Good leg kick by Bedo there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
A punch lands to the side of Bedo 's head but he takes it in his stride.

Bedo keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Sonnen throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Bedo throws a head kick that misses.

and Bedo makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Bedo takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Sonnen takes a swing at Bedo's ribcage but misses.
Bedo defending well as Sonnen loads up on a big left hand.
Sonnen tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Bedo manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Bedo lands a leg kick that knocks Sonnen off balance momentarily.
Sonnen swings for the body but Bedo moves out of range.
Bedo throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Sonnen's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Bedo dives in looking to finish as Sonnen flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Bedo's strikes! Bedo is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Sonnen's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Sonnen was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:53 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Filo Bedo!
