Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Tommy Hunter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Arvi Lind and Johanna Lukiainen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rekdal doesn't manage to clinch there - Hunter circles away.
Nice takedown defense from Rekdal. No joy for Hunter on that attempt.
Hunter closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Hunter is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Rekdal has escaped the position, nice work there.
Hunter swings around for an armbar but Rekdal sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Hunter's guard.
Rekdal wants to get up but he can't break Hunter's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Hunter looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Rekdal accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Rekdal sitting in guard, not really doing much.

Rekdal has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Hunter is proving hard to escape from.
Rekdal stands up and waves to Hunter to follow him.
Hunter fails to land the takedown.
Rekdal tries to close the distance and clinch but Hunter swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Hunter slips under a jab.
Hunter ducks straight into an uppercut from Rekdal and tumbles to the canvas! It’s a flash knockdown though - Hunter maanges to regain guard straight away.
It looks like Tommy Hunter has been cut.
Hunter is breathing heavily.
Rekdal passes Hunter's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rekdal throwing shots but Hunter is blocking nicely.

Hunter wants to get back to full guard.
Hunter is working hard here to advance position.
Rekdal is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Rekdal is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Hunter slips a straight right by Rekdal.

Rekdal wants to clinch up but Hunter keeps it at a distance.

Rekdal scores with a jab. Hunter acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Rekdal is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Rekdal throws out a loose jab but Hunter uses good head movement to avoid it.
Hunter uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Rekdal.
Rekdal throws a jab but it's blocked by Hunter.
Rekdal listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Rekdal bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Hunter's head.
Rekdal tries to clinch there but Hunter circles away.

Rekdal jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Rekdal misses with a hook. Hunter ducked under it nicely.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Rekdal throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Hunter.
Rekdal throws a jab but it's blocked by Hunter.
Rekdal throws a hook but Hunter blocks it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Thorbjorn Rekdal dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Tommy Hunter's cut.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Hunter tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Rekdal swivels and escapes.
Rekdal misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Rekdal looks to land a left hand but Hunter moved out of range nicely.
Hunter walks into a straight right hand from Rekdal.
Hunter shoots for a double leg takedown but Rekdal sprawls well. He's pushed Hunter's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Rekdal drops Hunter with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Hunter! Rekdal dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:23 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Thorbjorn Rekdal!
