Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ryan Croft (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Flying Omoplata (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Omoplata has chosen Ona Tańczy Dla Mnie - Weekend as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Ryan Croft had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Croft shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Croft was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Croft is looking to take a break and control but Omoplata is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Omoplata gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Omoplata is looking for a sweep. Croft is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Croft could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Omoplata in particular looking to stall.

Croft is looking to control Omoplata's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Croft avoid being mounted?
Omoplata wants to free his trapped foot but Croft is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Let's hope that Omoplata has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Croft sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Flying Omoplata wasn't active enough on the ground.

It looks like Omoplata might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Flying Omoplata decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
