Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Gully God (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sub Zero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). God comes to the cage accompanied by Mavado - Gangsta Nuh Play. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Gully God!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Sub Zero!
The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
God checks the leg kick nicely there.
Zero throws a wild body kick that God sees coming a mile off.
God checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
God throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
God pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
God fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Zero manages to avoid it.
God slips a straight right by Zero.
God scores with a jab to the body.
God throws a leg kick but Zero sees it coming and checks it nicely.
God scores with a jab.
Sub Zero seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Zero cracks God with an open hand slap.
Zero dives in and grabs God's left leg, looking for a takedown. God pushes down on Zero's head and hops out.
Zero throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Zero rushes God and presses him up against the cage.
God lands with a light punch inside.
Zero tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Zero is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables God to keep the fight standing.
God managing to block the knees to the body from Zero.

God pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Zero bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Zero tries to bum rush God with a series of wild strikes but God uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
God throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Zero sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Zero throws a nice outside leg kick.
God misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Zero.
Zero dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on God. That did some damage!
Zero pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
God tests Zero's chin there with a solid looking shot.

Zero closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Zero lands in his opponent's guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
God wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Zero works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Zero not landing any meaningful shots this time.
God is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Zero's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Zero's back!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Zero turns into God and is now in his guard.
God controls Zero momentarily but Zero frees himself.
Zero won't allow God to sweep him here.

God is looking for a sweep. Zero is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
God gets back to full guard.
God keeping full guard, as Zero tries to pass.
Zero slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Zero working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Zero has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Zero connects with a couple of short punches.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

God is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Sub Zero dominated that round.
That's time! God's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Zero missing with a left hand there. God was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
God finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Nice defenses there by Zero.
Some wild striking there from God.
God loads up on a big right hand but Zero slips the punch.

A momentary lapse in concentration from God enables Zero to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. God manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
God manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Zero manages to get himself to full guard.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Zero holds on and takes a little breather.
God trying to control the position from guard on top but Zero is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Zero looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

God pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Zero is keeping the position for now.
Zero is trying to hold God in close to prevent damage but God has managed to pass into half guard.
Zero is looking for a sweep. God is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Zero regains half guard.
Zero works his way to full guard. Good work.

God in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Zero looking to hit a scissor sweep but God is one step ahead there.

Zero working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. God doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. God manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
God looking to sit in guard and control but Zero gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
God looking to hit a scissor sweep but Zero is one step ahead there.

God lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Zero!
God trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Zero slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
Zero is looking to improve his position.
God winds up and cracks Zero with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
God looks to score some points with some ground and pound.

Zero manages to get to full guard.

Zero had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. God defends it easily.
God trying to control but Zero is working from the bottom.

That was a close second round but I would say that Gully God will probably get the nod.

Zero is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Zero looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but God puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.

That was a close round but Gully God did the better work so I'd imagine he'll take it.

Zero's hands are dropping dangerously low here and God connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Zero scrambles back to his feet.
Zero with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling God to score with a decent uppercut.

Zero manages to get an easy takedown there - catching God on his heels. He'll look to pass God's guard now, I'm sure.

Zero throws an elbow that misses. God uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Zero's guard. Nice move by God!

God got a little sloppy there for a moment and Zero has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, God has managed to get both his arms back between Zero's legs - danger averted.

Zero has his foot on God's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. God works his way back into a safe position though.

Sub Zero dominated that fourth round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

A very excited looking Sub Zero rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
