Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 6 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Triple Hhh!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
18 - 17 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Yuri Sichev!
The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Vladimir Khabensky and Dmitry Maklakov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sichev decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Hhh manages to get to full guard.
Hhh can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Sichev controls the pace.
Sichev gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Sichev drives through with a takedown into guard.
Hhh wants to sweep here but Sichev controlling him for the moment.
Sichev scoring with punches to the head and body.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Sichev postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Sichev lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Hhh is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Hhh has momentary wrist control but Sichev slips an elbow through the middle.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Sichev scoring with some ground and pound.
Sichev drops back looking for a leg! Hhh is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Hhh manages to kick Sichev off! Sichev jumps back into Hhh's guard.
Sichev is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Hhh wants to sweep here but Sichev controlling him for the moment.
Sichev drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Sichev jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Sichev postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Sichev scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Sichev's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Sichev cracks Hhh with a solid left hand.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Sichev distracts Hhh with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Hhh is rocked!
Hhh trying to keep a closed guard but Sichev is proving a slippery customer.
Sichev with a nice head shot there.
Oh Hhh is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Sichev working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Hhh's head.
Hhh might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Sichev arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Hhh's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Yuri Sichev!
