The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Velasquez blocks a leg kick.
Velasquez throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Heimbach.
Velasquez lands a head kick!
Velasquez misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Velasquez throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Heimbach scores with a takedown into Velasquez's guard.

Velasquez had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Heimbach defends it easily.

Velasquez has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Heimbach can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Heimbach gets to his feet and stands over Velasquez, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Velasquez felt that one! Heimbach unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Velasquez from any more punishment!
