PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jake Lamotta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Meat Loaf (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lamotta kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is yes. Loaf has chosen Eat My Loaf as his entrance music. This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 34 - 12 - 1, fighting out of London, Jake Lamotta!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Meat Loaf!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lamotta keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

It looks like Meat Loaf has been cut.
Loaf misses with a series of wild punches.
Lamotta motions for Loaf to come forward. Lamotta throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Lamotta throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Loaf ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Lamotta moves away.

Lamotta slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

That was a close round but I would say that Jake Lamotta will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Meat Loaf's cut.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Lamotta on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Lamotta fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Loaf has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
