The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Poniatowski throws a shot from downtown. Byyri moves away and avoids it.
Byyri on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.

It looks like Arto Byyri has been cut.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Byyri throws out a loose jab but Poniatowski uses good head movement to avoid it.

Byyri swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Poniatowski loads up on a big right hand but Byyri slips the punch.
Poniatowski punishes Byyri's body with a nice straight punch.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Poniatowski scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Poniatowski pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Poniatowski fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Byyri checks it well.

Poniatowski throws a big overhand right that connects, sending Byyri tumbling to the canvas!

Byyri is rocked!
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Poniatowski gets to his feet and stands over Byyri, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Byyri felt that one! Poniatowski unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Byyri from any more punishment!
