Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between James Paul (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andrea Marchisio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Andrea Marchisio!
The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Paulo Santos and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Paul tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Paul misses with a takedown attempt - Marchisio sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Marchisio is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Paul's half guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Marchisio really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Paul. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Marchisio trying to control the action but Paul is working from the bottom.
Paul wants to improve his position but Marchisio is controlling well.

Andrea Marchisio has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Marchisio throws a sloppy head kick and Paul moves out of range easily.
Paul lands with a nice body kick.
Marchisio lands with a kick to the temple. Paul shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Paul closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Marchisio did well to prevent Paul getting side control.
Paul is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Paul decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
Marchisio looks winded!
Marchisio tries for a takedown but Paul circles away easily
and Paul counters with a stiff right hand.
It looks like Andrea Marchisio has been cut.
Paul throws a combination. Marchisio tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Paul shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Marchisio but Marchisio pushes him off and we're back to square one.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Paul throws a series of punches but Marchisio avoids them all with ease.
Marchisio shoots for a double leg takedown but Paul sprawls well. He's pushed Marchisio's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Paul darts in and clinches Marchisio up against the cage.
Paul manages to break the clinch.
A lazy left from Paul finds it's target.
Paul dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Marchisio. That did some damage!
Marchisio gets tackled into the cage by Paul. Paul maintains the clinch.
Paul ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Paul no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Paul working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Marchisio doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Paul is tightening it up a little... Marchisio has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Marchisio reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Marchisio taps out! Nice BJJ there by Paul!
