The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boyd changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Barker tries to avoid it but Boyd manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Barker to the ground. Barker escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Barker rushes Boyd and presses him up against the cage.

Barker breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Boyd fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Barker closes the distance but Boyd moves to the side
and Boyd cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Boyd dives in and grabs Barker's left leg, looking for a takedown. Barker pushes down on Boyd's head and hops out.
Boyd looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Barker throws a right hand that Boyd ducks under and follows up with a left that Boyd also avoids with ease.
