The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Silver shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Silver would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Schnezner has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Silver can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Schnezner tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Let's hope that Schnezner has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Silver is looking to clinch but Schnezner is avoiding it.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Schnezner enables Silver to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Schnezner manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Silver is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Silver has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Schnezner is proving hard to escape from.

Schnezner pushes Silver off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

Schnezner is looking for a sweep. Silver is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Schnezner has his foot on Silver's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Silver works his way back into a safe position though.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Silver keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Schnezner's head.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Schnezner makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Schnezner.

Schnezner has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Silver doesn't defend quickly enough and Schnezner has managed to lock this one up! Can Silver escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Schnezner on a fantastic submission victory.

A relieved looking Charlie Schnezner thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
