Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Midgard tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Ikora feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Ikora drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Midgard manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Ikora has Midgard in his guard.
Ikora wants to sweep here but Midgard controlling him for the moment.

Ikora is looking for a triangle here but Midgard uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Midgard wants to control but Ikora is keeping him busy.
Ikora is in a bad spot here and he knows it... just holding on for now.
Ikora is not content to let Midgard control the position.
Midgard wants to stand but Ikora is controlling his arm.

Ikora is looking for a sweep. Midgard is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Midgard tries to stand but can't do so whilst Ikora controls his leg.

Ikora wants to improve his position but Midgard is controlling well.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Midgard tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Midgard pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Midgard is breathing heavily.
Midgard throws a low kick, looking for Ikora's leg but Ikora calmly moves out of range.
Midgard tries to land a front kick but Ikora steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Ikora closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
You can see the frustration on Midgard's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Ikora thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Midgard is not content to let Ikora control the position.
Midgard is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Ikora off and has taken his back!

The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Midgard's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Ikora manages to reverse the position and now he's in Midgard's guard. Nice work there by Ikora.
Midgard wants to stand up but Ikora is controlling him.

Ikora drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Midgard dives on top into guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Ikora has his foot on Midgard's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Midgard works his way back into a safe position though.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
