The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Paul Tew and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shaw lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Stonmen circles away quickly and effectively.
Stonmen misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Shaw swats away the attempt to clinch by Stonmen.
Stonmen throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Stonmen goes for an armbar but Shaw turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Shaw.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Stonmen shoots for a double leg takedown but Shaw sprawls well. He's pushed Stonmen's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Shaw punches the canvas rather than the man.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Shaw is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Shaw is striking well from the back but Stonmen escapes and manages to control the positon and works his way to half guard. A much better position - the crisis is over for the time being.
