Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Lance Boyle!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, KJ Dempsey!
The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Jonathan Paton and Russell Pearce.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dempsey missing with a left hand there. Boyle was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Dempsey is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Boyle.
Dempsey is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Dempsey lands a really nice looking cross but Boyle seems unphased.
Boyle moves out of range as Dempsey strikes.
Dempsey tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Boyle shoots for a double leg takedown but Dempsey sprawls well. He's pushed Boyle's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
The fight stays on the outside here - Boyle looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Boyle with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Dempsey to score with a decent uppercut.
Dempsey fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Boyle to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Boyle looks to clinch but Dempsey throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Boyle taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!
