The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vattalles slaps away a takedown attempt from Smirnov, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Vattalles throws a body kick that misses.

It looks like Ruslan Smirnov has been cut.
Smirnov moves out of range as Vattalles strikes.
Smirnov shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Vattalles pinned against the cage. Vattalles gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Vattalles throws a looping overhand right but Smirnov ducks down to avoid it.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Smirnov. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Vattalles lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Smirnov has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Smirnov and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Vattalles wobbles Smirnov with a right hand and the left hook that follows puts him on his rear! Vattalles dives in with a huge flying punch that connects right on the button and puts Smirnov to sleep! - What a violent and spectacular finish!
