Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Kong King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kenji Matsushita (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Kong King!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Kenji Matsushita!
The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Johanna Lukiainen and Roosa Järviläinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Matsushita misses with a telegraphed body shot
and King counters with a leg kick.

King thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

King got a little sloppy there for a moment and Matsushita has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, King has managed to get both his arms back between Matsushita's legs - danger averted.

King has gone for a leg lock! Matsushita slips out almost immediately though and dives into King's guard.

Matsushita shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Good work by King as he checks the leg kick.

and King counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Matsushita is lucky that one didn't land flush.

Matsushita throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Matsushita connects with a single shot there.
King on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Matsushita feints with a left and delivers a massive head kick! King collapses like a ragdoll! Game over!

After winning the bout, Kenji Matsushita thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
