Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pete Gordon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jorge Sanchez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Valeri Chadov and Illya Tyunina.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sanchez fails with the takedown
and Gordon counters with a nice body shot.

Gordon shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Gordon accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Gordon postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Sanchez is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Gordon, into his guard.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Sanchez wants to control from the top but Gordon keeps moving.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Jorge Sanchez.

Gordon closes the distance and clinches.
Gordon gets underhooks to prevent Sanchez's takedown attempt.
Sanchez using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Gordon has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Gordon breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Sanchez looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Pete Gordon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jorge Sanchez.

and Gordon counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
