Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
7 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Chuck Liddel!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
11 - 18 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Weed King!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Excellent takedown into side control there by Liddel.
Liddel lands a decent elbow from side control.
Liddel working the ground and pound.
King tries to get back to half guard but can't.
King sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Liddel looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks King with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Liddel seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but King does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
King wants to control but Liddel is keeping busy.
King is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Liddel's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Liddel's back!

King tightening his grip on Liddel, looking for the choke.
Liddel trying to control the hands but King breaks the grip.
Liddel is really stuck here.
King punches the canvas rather than the man.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
King doesn't have the hooks in and Liddel manages to turn into his guard.
Liddel loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Liddel pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. King is keeping the position for now.
King wants to sweep here but Liddel controlling him for the moment.
King controls Liddel momentarily but Liddel frees himself.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
King lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Liddel!
Liddel is looking to improve his position but King isn't that keen on the idea.
King is landing with some decent strikes but Liddel is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Liddel trying desperately to get to his feet.
King postures up and throws a big right hand. BOOM! Right on the button! Liddel is out cold - huge knockout for King!

Weed King bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
