Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ryoto Machida (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Victor Ruiz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Machida might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Bleed It Out. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Alexandre Firmino and Luis Engracia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ruiz swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Machida keeps the fight on the outside.
Ruiz misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Machida ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Ruiz moves away.
Ruiz shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Machida defends it nicely.
Ruiz shoots in looking for a takedown. Machida tries to sprawl out of it but Ruiz keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Machida manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Ruiz shoots in and drives through. Machida sprawls well.
Ryoto Machida has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Victor Ruiz.
Ruiz tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Ruiz tries to clinch there but Machida circles away.
Ruiz tries to clinch up.
Ruiz moves into range and clinches up with Machida.
Ruiz tries a knee to the head but Machida blocks it.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Machida looking to stall.
Machida is trying to force a seperation but Ruiz has the dominant position.
Ruiz tries to land knees in the clinch but Machida avoids the damage to the body.
Machida working hard to break the clinch.
Ruiz using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Machida has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Ruiz putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Machida in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body.
Machida doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Ruiz breaks the clinch.
Ruiz has taken the fight to the clinch.
Ruiz jumps into guard, dragging Machida to the mat.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Machida accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Ruiz is looking to sinch up a triangle. Machida throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Ruiz's body to avoid the submission. Ruiz has instead reached around Machida's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Ruiz arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Victor Ruiz!
