Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vangelis Kokkalis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fedor Lesnar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kokkalis comes to the cage accompanied by Promises - Nero ft. Skrillex. Lesnar has chosen Enae Volare Mezzo as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 27 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Fedor Lesnar!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Shigeki Sano and Yuuki Gou.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lesnar misses with an uppercut.

Kokkalis stuffs the takedown attempt from Lesnar. Lesnar gets slowly back to his feet.

Lesnar shoots in looking for a takedown but Kokkalis manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Lesnar's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Lesnar chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Kokkalis can pounce on him.

Lesnar tries to close the distance and clinch but Kokkalis swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Kokkalis is looking to slow Lesnar down with leg kicks.

Kokkalis fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Lesnar looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Kokkalis throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Lesnar lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Good leg kick by Kokkalis there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Kokkalis fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Lesnar manages to avoid it.
Lesnar ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Vangelis Kokkalis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Kokkalis lands with a nice body punch.
Lesnar looks winded!
Kokkalis thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Lesnar if he has to take too many more of those.

Kokkalis bobbing and weaving well here. And he's unloaded with a massive right hand that drops Lesnar! He dives into his guard looking to finish!


Lesnar is rocked!
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Kokkalis wants to pass the guard but Lesnar is keeping the position.

Lesnar isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Kokkalis stacks Lesnar on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Kokkalis!

Lesnar parries the strikes from Kokkalis easily there. Kokkalis is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Lesnar to escape.

Lesnar takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Kokkalis ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Lesnar moves away.

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Kokkalis here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.

Kokkalis throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Lesnar holds on and takes a little breather.

Lesnar finds himself stumbling back on wobbly legs after being clipped by a right hand. He's up against the cage, ducking and weaving under Kokkalis's strikes but an uppercut finds it's way through and Lesnar falls! - He's completely out of it and the ref jumps in to save him!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:52 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Vangelis Kokkalis!
After winning the bout, Vangelis Kokkalis thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
