The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Colin Fray and Chris Saunders.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Orton tries to clinch up
and Orton takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Orton tries to close the distance and clinch up but Dayley swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Dayley is looking to clinch.
Dayley lands with a kick to the temple. Orton shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Dayley blocks a head kick by Orton.

Orton feints and as Dayley raises his hands in defense, Orton changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Orton slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Orton stands up from Dayley's guard - Orton perhaps looking for a knockout.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Dayley plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!

Dayley gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Dayley will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Orton slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Orton is looking to work some ground and pound but Dayley has wrist control.
Orton has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Dayley is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Orton is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Dayley controls Orton momentarily but Orton frees himself.

Dayley throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Orton.
