Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Deron Etevem (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Luke Bryan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bryan drives through with a takedown into Etevem's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Bryan won't allow Etevem to sweep him here.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Etevem is on top in guard.

Etevem drops back, looking for a kneebar! Bryan looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Bryan looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Bryan!
Etevem tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Bryan connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Etevem some visible discomfort.
Bryan throws a strike aimed at the side of Etevem's head but Etevem avoids it well.
Etevem tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Bryan wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Etevem is pressing down on Bryan's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Bryan accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Etevem wants to hit a switch here but Bryan passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Etevem there!

Etevem sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Bryan trying to control the position from guard on top but Etevem is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Etevem manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Bryan manages to get himself to full guard.
Etevem tries to free his leg and advance position but Bryan is retaining full guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Etevem drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Bryan manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Etevem has Bryan in his guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Deron Etevem will probably get the nod.
That's time! Back to the action!

Etevem checks the leg kick.
Bryan throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Etevem's waist but Etevem gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Bryan off to one side.
Etevem fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Etevem misses with a takedown attempt - Bryan sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Etevem gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Bryan to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Bryan thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Bryan working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Bryan trying to control but Etevem is working from the bottom.
Deron Etevem overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Etevem preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

Bryan drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Bryan jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Bryan won't allow Etevem to sweep him here.

Etevem is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Etevem is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Etevem has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Bryan defend it? Etevem steps over the head and cranks it - Bryan is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Etevem!
