The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Ryoma Takatsuka and Paul Gruel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Steel shoots in and gets a takedown into Echobeach's guard.
Steel decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Steel shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Echobeach is looking to improve his position.
Steel decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Echobeach looks for a takedown but Steel sprawls well.
Echobeach clinches with his opponent.
Steel lands an uppercut.
Steel lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
It looks like Zesse Echobeach has been cut.
Echobeach tries to land a knee to the head but Steel blocks with his arms.
A short body shot lands from Steel as the two fighters clinch.
Echobeach is breathing heavily.
Steel lands a hook to the side of the head.
Steel digs a right hand into Echobeach's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Echobeach's gas tank.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Steel with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.
Steel utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body.
Steel drops Echobeach with a big knee straight up the middle! Echobeach is covering up against the cage but manages to escape and gets back to his feet!
Echobeach is rocked!
Steel circles away before darting back in with a big straight right hand. It connects beautifully and sends Echobeach tumbling to the canvas! He's out cold! Steel wins by KO!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Freddy Steel!
A very excited looking Freddy Steel rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
