Aoki shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Aoki showed some decent athleticism there.
Balestra looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Aoki seems to be working for a kimura but Balestra defends the submission attempt.
Balestra is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Aoki seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
