The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vergaard slips a jab and a cross from Iamsaard.
Iamsaard misses with a two punch combination.

and Iamsaard counters with a solid body kick.
Iamsaard feints a jab promting Vergaard to slip. Iamsaard then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Vergaard slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Iamsaard lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Vergaard backs up against the cage.
Iamsaard connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Vergaard momentarily.
Vergaard throws a head kick but Iamsaard moves out of range.
Vergaard looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Iamsaard lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Vergaard at a distance.
Iamsaard fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Iamsaard pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Vergaard back to the cage. Iamsaard follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

Vergaard jumps guard but Iamsaard turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Vergaard throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Iamsaard has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Vergaard is proving hard to escape from.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Vergaard is on top in guard.

Vergaard drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Vergaard as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Iamsaard screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Vergaard! Nice submission victory there!
