Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Xolani Ihejirika!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Felippe Francisco!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Taro Takaoka and Shigeki Sano.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A looping hook to the body misses from Ihejirika. Francisco does a little dance to reset his feet.
Ihejirika throws a sloppy head kick and Francisco moves out of range easily.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Francisco.

Ihejirika tries to keep at a distance but Francisco has taken the fight into the clinch.
Francisco displaying some good clinch control by pressing Ihejirika up against the cage.
Francisco gets underhooks to prevent Ihejirika's takedown attempt.
Francisco fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Francisco's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Francisco tries to break the clinch but Ihejirika is controlling the position.

Francisco pulls guard successfully.
Francisco should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Francisco is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Francisco can do anything to dispel that myth.
Ihejirika makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Ihejirika wants to control from the top but Francisco keeps moving.

Ihejirika drops back looking for a leg! Francisco is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Francisco manages to kick Ihejirika off! Ihejirika jumps back into Francisco's guard.
Francisco is pulling down on Ihejirika's head. It's preventing any offense from Ihejirika, at least for the moment.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Francisco wants to stand but Ihejirika is controlling the position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Ihejirika avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Ihejirika got a little sloppy there for a moment and Francisco has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Ihejirika has managed to get both his arms back between Francisco's legs - danger averted.
Ihejirika with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Francisco keeping moving, preventing Ihejirika from controlling successfully.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Ihejirika pushes down on Francisco's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Francisco really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ihejirika. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Ihejirika trying to mount his opponent but Francisco defends it.

Ihejirika is looking to take a break and control but Francisco is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Ihejirika has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Francisco looks winded!
Ihejirika sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Francisco takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.


It looks like Felippe Francisco has been cut.
Ihejirika connects with a couple of good shots from mount.


That has opened up Felippe Francisco's cut even more.
Ihejirika will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Francisco takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Ihejirika's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.
