PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Joe Sajdak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lucifer Krackoff (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sajdak comes to the cage accompanied by Thrift Shop. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sajdak keeps the fight on the outside.
Sajdak throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Krackoff throws a right and a left that both miss.
Krackoff lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

Sajdak closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Krackoff quickly recovers to half guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Sajdak trying to control from half guard but Krackoff is working away.
Krackoff is pressing down on Sajdak's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Sajdak is looking to pass into half guard but Krackoff pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Krackoff is in guard.
Krackoff throws a big elbow that misses.
Krackoff is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Sajdak is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Krackoff off and has taken his back!
Sajdak controlling the position well here. Krackoff rolled but Sajdak kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Lucifer Krackoff wasn't active enough on the ground.

Lucifer Krackoff has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

Sajdak closes the distance and pushes Krackoff back into the cage.

Krackoff manages to break the clinch.

Sajdak closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Sajdak lands in his opponent's guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Krackoff looking to hit a scissor sweep but Sajdak is one step ahead there.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Krackoff is taking a breather. Sajdak says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Lucifer Krackoff was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Sajdak throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Sajdak is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.

Krackoff gets control of Sajdak's arms and successfully pulls guard. Krackoff will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Krackoff is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Krackoff is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

Sajdak stands up and waves to Krackoff to follow him.

Krackoff takes the fight into the clinch.
Sajdak has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Krackoff jumps into guard, dragging Sajdak to the mat.

Krackoff is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Sajdak might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Krackoff postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Sajdak to stand up.
Sajdak leaves Krackoff with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Sajdak fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Krackoff sprawls well initially but Sajdak persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Sajdak is working for a kimura but Krackoff is defending it quite comfortably.
Krackoff slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Lucifer Krackoff will probably get the nod - 10:9.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. And we move into the final round!


A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Krackoff.
Joe Sajdak is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Krackoff is pushing Sajdak up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

Krackoff breaks from the clinch.
Sajdak avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Krackoff shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Sajdak as he avoids it easily.

Sajdak throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Krackoff was covering up waiting for the punch and Sajdak finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Sajdak wants to control from the top but Krackoff keeps moving.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Krackoff wriggles free and stands up.

Sajdak shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Krackoff manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Sajdak pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Krackoff is keeping the position for now.
Krackoff trying to keep a closed guard but Sajdak is proving a slippery customer.

Krackoff not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Krackoff gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Sajdak to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Sajdak jumps guard and drags Krackoff to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Sajdak thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Krackoff working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Sajdak's head.

And that's the end of the fight!
Joe Sajdak showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Krackoff has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
