And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Daryl Brick!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, William Peck and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brick on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Eric Correa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Correa bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Correa throws a series of punches but Brick moves out of range.
Correa scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Correa pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Correa wants to clinch.
Correa throws a nice head kick!
Correa fails in his attempt to clinch.
Correa moves in looking to clinch but Brick pushes him off.
Correa throws a series of punches but Brick avoids them all with ease.
A head kick misses from Correa.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Correa.
Correa looks for the body kick but Brick saw that one coming.
The fight stays on the outside here - Correa looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Correa fails to land with a series of punches.
Correa tries to clinch up but Brick circles away and keeps his distance.
Correa throws a one two combo.
Correa looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Brick shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Brick showed some decent athleticism there.
Correa is trying to stand.
Brick wants to pass to mount but Correa is defending the position.
Brick passes the guard and advances to mount!
Brick looks gassed!

Correa is controlling an arm, preventing Brick from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.
Correa wants to get back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Brick works his way to his opponent's back.
Correa controlling the position well but he knows he's in a bad position.

Brick is looking for the choke from the back position but Correa is controlling his hands well.

Correa has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Correa prevents Brick from getting a body triangle.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Correa is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Correa is keeping busy.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Daryl Brick dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


No joy there for Correa, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Correa throws a body kick that misses.
Correa fails with an attempt to clinch.
Correa misses with a series of wild punches.
Brick moves out of range of the body kick from Correa.
Brick blocks a head kick by Correa.
Correa will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Correa tries a head kick but it misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Correa throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Brick blocks a head kick by Correa.
Correa tries to clinch but Brick moves out of range.

Correa connects with a high kick.
An inside leg kick lands from Correa.
Correa throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Brick.
Correa misses with a double jab.
Correa throws a nice looking combination but Brick bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Brick shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Correa but Correa pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Brick is breathing heavily.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Correa.
A head kick misses from Correa.
Brick blocks a head kick by Correa.
Correa throws a combination. Brick tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Correa looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Correa tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Correa doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Brick counters with a nice uppercut.
Correa lands a two punch combo.
Correa misses with a jab, cross combination.
A bone on bone clash there as Brick blocks the leg kick.
Brick walks forward, straight into a front kick from Correa.
Brick looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Correa fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Correa connects with a high kick.

Brick shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Brick was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Correa is desperately trying to improve his position but Brick has a good base and remains in mount.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Correa is working hard here to advance position.
Correa on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Correa tries to get out of the position.
Correa wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.

Correa defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Brick.

Brick is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Correa is surviving well by controlling Brick's body position as best he can.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Brick wants to take his opponent's back but he's not managed it.
Correa tries to lock up and control but Brick gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Correa can't escape the position.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Eric Correa dominated that second round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!


A head kick misses from Correa.
Correa lands a nice looking kick to the body. Brick takes a step back to recover.
Correa with a poor takedown

and Brick counters with a nice double leg into side control. Correa won't be happy with that.
Correa wants to get back to his feet but Brick drags him back down.
Brick working away.
Correa is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Brick connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Correa some visible discomfort.
Correa pushes Brick away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Brick gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Brick takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Brick advances to full mount.

Brick looking for a guillotine from mount but Correa is having none of it.
Brick wants to control the pace but Correa is squirming around nicely.
Correa tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Correa is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Correa wants to hold on but Brick pushes him away.
Correa keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Correa is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Correa holds on for dear life, controlling Brick's posture momentarily.

Brick is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Correa has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Correa wants to hold on but Brick pushes him away.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Correa is trying desperately to improve position.
Correa wants to try and get back to his feet.
Correa tries to lock up and control but Brick gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Brick prevents Correa from getting the reversal.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
You get the feeling that Correa really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Correa is desperately trying to improve his position but Brick has a good base and remains in mount.

And that's the end of the fight!
Daryl Brick comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Brick has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
