Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Nathan Young (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Razor Back (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nathan Young has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Back shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Razor Back has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Back stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Back wants it to stay on the feet.
Back tries for a takedown but Young sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Young throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Back's waist but Back gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Young off to one side.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Young is defended easily by Back.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nathan Young. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Young is breathing heavily.
Back connects with a body shot that sends Young's belly button to the back.
Young closes the distance and clinches up with Back, looking for a takedown. Young pushes Back against the cage but Back circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Young keeps the fight on the outside.
Back throws a sloppy head kick and Young moves out of range easily.
Back throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Young.
Back shoots in and drives through. Young sprawls well.

Back clinches with his opponent.

Back decides to pull guard.
Young is fighting to break Back's control of his arms but Back is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Back looking for a guillotine here but Young defends easily.
Back has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

Young has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Razor Back hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
No joy there for Back, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Young throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Back.

Back looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Young!

Young seems a little lost for a moment, as Back dominates the positioning.
Back taking a break here but Young is having none of it and regains half guard.
Young might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Young wants to get back to full guard.
Young missing with punches from the bottom.
Back is taking a breather. Young says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Young wants to improve his position but Back is controlling well.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Young gets tackled into the cage by Back. Back maintains the clinch.

Young's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Young has his takedown stuffed

Still in half guard, Back seems content to control.
Back passes to side control.
Back lands an elbow.
Razor Back has got the better of the ground game so far.
Young tries to improve position but can't.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Back working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Back creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
You can see the frustration on Young's face as Back controls the position.
Back looks up at the clock and then as Young takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Back smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Back has hold of Young's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Young tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Back cranks the arm and Young screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Young, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
