These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Shirou Masuda and Taro Takaoka.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nejman lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Dias circles away quickly and effectively.
Nejman throws a half hearted mid kick.
Dias shoots in but Nejman avoids the takedown attempt easily.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Dias.
Nejman moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

It looks like Matheus Dias has been cut.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Dias misses with a knee to the head.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Dias creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Dias breaks from the clinch.

Dias tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Nejman manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Nejman scores with a head kick. Dias tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Nejman misses with a jab, cross combination.
Nejman lands a high kick!
Dias walks forward, straight into a front kick from Nejman.

Dias is trying hard to land a takedown here. Nejman sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Danny Nejman has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Matheus Dias.

Dias clinches.
Nejman on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Dias is trying desperately to land a takedown but Nejman is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Dias.

Nejman pushes Dias away with a front kick.
Nejman connects with a good right hand that stumbles Dias. Dias circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Nejman lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Dias is starting to get sloppy and is letting his hands down. Nejman just took advantage and landed a stinging jab. Oh! Now a right hook, right on the button! Dias has gone limp and this one is over!
