The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McTaggart throws a nice outside leg kick.
McTaggart scores with a spinning back kick!

Meiser clinches up with McTaggart and pushes him back against the cage.
Meiser is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables McTaggart to keep the fight standing.
McTaggart gets underhooks to prevent Meiser's takedown attempt.
Meiser tries to pull guard but McTaggart forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hans Meiser. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Meiser lands with a short shot to the head.
McTaggart with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Meiser fails to pull guard.
McTaggart is looking to control Meiser's arms but Meiser gets an underhook and turns him. Now McTaggart has his back to the cage.
McTaggart is pushing Meiser up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Meiser is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but McTaggart is defending well.

McTaggart breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
McTaggart lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Meiser at a distance.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
McTaggart tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
McTaggart connects with a solid leg kick.

Meiser fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but McTaggart avoids it really well and circles away.
Meiser is breathing heavily.
A chopping leg kick lands by McTaggart.
McTaggart misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

McTaggart lands a left and a right that send Meiser crashing to the mat, dazed. McTaggart thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Meiser is rocked!

It looks like Hans Meiser has been cut.

McTaggart throws a sloppy head kick and Meiser moves out of range easily.

McTaggart cracks Meiser with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Meiser looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can McTaggart finish him?
Oh Meiser is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Ross McTaggart seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
McTaggart throws a sloppy head kick and Meiser moves out of range easily.
McTaggart tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Meiser blocks a head kick by McTaggart.
McTaggart is throwing punches like he's double parked. Oh my word! Huge right hand from McTaggart shuts the power down on Meiser. Lights out, game over! McTaggart is your winner.
