The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johansen ducks under a wild hook from Ramirez.
Ramirez takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Ramirez looks to land a combination but Johansen avoids it well.
Johansen throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Ramirez fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Johansen is out of range.
Johansen changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.

Ramirez misses with a combination
and Johansen counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Ramirez misses with an uppercut.
A shot to the liver by Johansen. Beautiful body shot.

Ramirez needs to keep his hands up - Johansen had a free shot at his head there.
It looks like Hector Ramirez has been cut.

Ramirez throws a series of punches but Johansen moves out of range.
Johansen slips a jab from Ramirez.
Ramirez misses with a left hand
and Johansen counters with a crisp one two that drops Ramirez! Johansen thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Ramirez to his feet! Ramirez is in big trouble!
Johansen is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Ramirez.
Ramirez lands a really nice looking cross but Johansen seems unphased.
It looks like Peter Johansen has been cut.
That's one minute gone in the round.
A slow jab from Johansen misses its intended target.
Ramirez punishes Johansen's body with a nice straight punch.
Ramirez rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Johansen moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Johansen is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Johansen steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Ramirez.
Johansen uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Ramirez.
Johansen smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Ramirez throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Ramirez is really struggling to land any decent head shots against his taller opponent.
Ramirez lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Johansen lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Johansen.
Ramirez is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Johansen lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Ramirez falls backwards - clearly groggy! Johansen dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!
