Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Henkka Reem (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chrystov Aleksey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Henkka Reem!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Chrystov Aleksey!
The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Colin Fray and Jeff Smith.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aleksey throws a right hand that Reem ducks under and follows up with a left that Reem also avoids with ease.
Aleksey misses with a double jab
and Reem cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Reem has Aleksey up against the cage in a clinch.
Reem pushes Aleksey back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Reem swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Reem drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Aleksey's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Aleksey slips a jab and a cross from Reem.

Aleksey closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Aleksey lands in his opponent's guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Reem has an active guard here but Aleksey has managed to pass into half guard.
Aleksey is nestled in close to Reem, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Aleksey wants to get back to his feet.
Reem wants to get back to full guard.
Aleksey thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Reem's head.

Aleksey seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Reem does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Aleksey seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Reem wants to get back to his feet.
Reem makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Reem.

Reem has his foot on Aleksey's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Aleksey works his way back into a safe position though.
Aleksey throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Reem works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Reem is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Aleksey defends well.

Reem escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Aleksey gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Reem controls Aleksey momentarily but Aleksey frees himself.
Aleksey stands up over Reem, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Aleksey wants to stand but Reem is controlling his posture from full guard.

Reem is trying to control the position but Aleksey postures up.
Aleksey is in close to Reem's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Aleksey stopping the sweep attempt from Reem.
Aleksey is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Aleksey keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Reem's head.
Aleksey must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Aleksey keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Reem's head.

Aleksey is working Reem over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Reem seems to have got his legs back now.

A big shot lands for Aleksey! That's hurt Reem! Will he recover? Aleksey fires away with more strikes and the referee has to step in to stop the fight!

A relieved looking Chrystov Aleksey thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
