Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Goon fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Goon scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Champ is trying to get back to half guard.
Champ manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Goon is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Goon is trying to control but can't.
Goon wants to improve his position but Champ is controlling well.
Goon trying to control but Champ postures up.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Johnny Goon wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Goon tries for a takedown but Champ sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Champ shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Goon lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Champ!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Champ tries to lock up and control but Goon gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Champ can't escape the position.
Goon wants to control the pace but Champ is squirming around nicely.
Champ gets back to half guard.

Goon is looking for a kimura but Champ is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Goon to get the leverage.
Champ controlling the position for now.
Goon trying to mount his opponent but Champ defends it.

Champ wants to control but Goon is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Goon is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

Goon is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Champ sees it coming and defends easily.
Goon uses his free foot to push down on Champ's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Champ.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Goon trying to control but Champ is having none of it.
Goon with some aggressive grappling here, looking for the finish.

Goon is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Champ to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Champ shrugs it off.

Champ is looking to get to half guard.

Goon is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Champ can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Goon can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Champ is looking to escape.
Goon looking to finish Champ with some ground and pound. This is bad for Champ!
Champ has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.

Goon is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Champ with him. Champ is trying to defend but Goon has an arm under the chin now! Champ grimaces and is forced to tap out!
