Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Elliott Stanley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dan Schulz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Elliott Stanley could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Dan Schulz's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Elliott Stanley!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dan Schulz!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Gregory Folan and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stanley lands with a thumping leg kick.
Stanley shoots in looking for a takedown but Schulz manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Stanley's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Stanley moves into the clinch.
Stanley is working for takedown but Schulz is calmly controlling the position for now.
Schulz tries to pull guard but Stanley won't allow it.
Schulz tries to land a knee to the head but Stanley blocks with his arms.
Stanley is pressed up against the cage. Schulz has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Stanley down to the mat. Stanley avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Stanley throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Schulz.
Stanley tries to clinch but Schulz is having none of it.

Stanley drives through and clinches with Schulz against the cage.
Schulz tries to stall but Stanley uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Stanley pulls Schulz into guard.
Stanley is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Stanley will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Stanley can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Schulz controls the pace.

Stanley is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Elliott Stanley.

and Schulz counters with a single leg into guard. Stanley didn't expect that.
Schulz keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Stanley's head.

Schulz wants to get up but he can't break Stanley's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Schulz should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Stanley wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

That was a close round but I would say that Elliott Stanley will probably get the nod.

Dan Schulz showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
